MatchCut

Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 July 2026

These terms apply to the MatchCut iOS app. By installing or using MatchCut you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Licence

MatchCut is licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-exclusive use on Apple devices that you own or control, in line with the Apple Media Services Terms of Use. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app.

Your content

Your recordings and the reels you export are yours. We claim no rights over them and never receive them: everything MatchCut does happens on your device. You are responsible for having the right to record and share the footage you use, including any rights of the people appearing in it.

Price

MatchCut is free, with every feature unlocked — 4K export, all three formats, no subscription, and nothing to buy inside the app.

A future version may add an optional one-time paid unlock. If it does, this page will say so before it ships, and anything you already have will keep working. Should MatchCut ever offer a purchase, it would be processed by Apple, and refunds would be handled by Apple under their policy at reportaproblem.apple.com, not by us.

No warranty

MatchCut is provided "as is". Highlight detection is automatic and imperfect: it may miss moments or select ones you would not have. Always review a reel before you publish it. To the extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties and are not liable for lost footage, lost time, or indirect losses. Keep your original recordings; MatchCut is not a backup service.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version always lives on this page.
