That is normal for action cams, which chapter long recordings. Import all the parts of the same match together and MatchCut treats them as one continuous recording.
A 2 to 3 hour recording is a lot of video to read. Analysis runs in the background and can be paused and resumed; progress is saved, so you do not lose it if you leave the app.
MatchCut looks for bursts of crowd noise and on-pitch motion. A short clip, a quiet touchline or a static wide shot gives it little to work with. You can also add a moment by hand on the review screen.
No. MatchCut is free with every feature unlocked: 4K export, all three formats, no subscription, and nothing to buy inside the app. The MatchCut logo in the corner of a finished reel is on by default, and one switch in the export screen turns it off.
Straight into your photo library, and the share sheet opens so you can send it on. If the save failed, check Settings → Apps → MatchCut → Photos and allow adding photos.
4K takes noticeably longer than smaller sizes, and a longer reel takes longer still. Keep the app in the foreground while it finishes.
